Annie has a very friendly and fun writing style that makes it difficult to put her book down. I recommend this book to anyone looking into taking a trip to Northern Italy as well as to someone that has already been. I enjoyed opening this book along with a bottle of wine and reminiscing. Annie's book took me back to Italy!
Be forewarned you will want to leave immediately for Italy after reading this whimsical and loving description of the author's trip to Italy. Lavishly illustrated with photos throughout, the descriptions are both lovely and honest - you could even follow in their footsteps, avoiding the pitfalls and relishing the high spots, including the many delicious meals and gelatos. This is a wonderful, personal, and very funny description of an enchanting country.
